I love John Smoltz, but he proved he is just like all the other overpaid athletes. He was just paid 14 million dollars by the Braves for pitching 28 innings in 2008. Now, because the Braves wouldn't "guarantee" him more money, he jumps to the Red Sox. I wouldn't have guaranteed him the money either and I think ML Baseball owners should stop caving in to these overpaid players. By the way, I have a question, "Is the Yankee Management so stupid that they have to pay three times as much as other teams just to be competitive?"
