Hiroki Kuroda and Clayton Kershaw held Boston hitless into the eighth inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers wrapped up spring training by beating the road-weary Red Sox 8-0 on Sunday.

Williams 27, Johnson’s 23 lrads Hawks’ 114-109 win over Knicks

Marvin Williams scored 27 points and Joe Johnson had 23 to help the Atlanta Hawks win their third straight, 114-109 over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

The Hawks increased their lead over New Jersey to 2 1/2 games for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

New York dropped to 7-29 on the road and has lost two straight and seven of eight overall.

Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 39 points _ 19 coming in the third quarter _ but he was just 2-for-5 from the field in the fourth before his meaningless layup ended the scoring. Read more

Argentina’s Andres Romero wins Zurich Classic for first PGA Tour title

Argentina's Andres Romero won the Zurich Classic in his 12th career start on the PGA Tour, closing with a 4-under 68 on Sunday for a one-stroke victory over Australia's Peter Lonard.

Romero, a shot behind John Merrick on Sunday morning after the completion of the third round, had a 13-under 275 total on the TPC Louisiana and earned $1,116,000.

Lonard had a chance to force a playoff, but missed a long birdie putt on 18.

Lonard opened with a pair birdies, bogeyed Nos. 3 and 10, then birdied Nos. 8, 11, 14 and 16 to tie Romero at 13 under. The Australian's putt for par on 17 stopped 4 inches shy of the cup, and he then failed to birdie 18. Read more

For a guy who admits he was never more than a mediocre baseball player, President Bush sure gets to keep living the dream.

Bush is throwing out the first pitch Sunday night at the gleaming new baseball stadium in Washington, the sixth time he has had the honor as president. It may be ceremonial, but it is not a duty a president wants to tank. People tend to have long memories when you bounce the ball to home plate.

So Bush made time this week to hurl some practice pitches in his backyard _ the South Lawn of the White House. Read more
