Cheryl Cole Pleased England Failed To Qualify For Euro 2008

Cheryl Cole, wife of England soccerstar Asley Cole, reported she’s pleased England failed to qualify for Euro 2008 because it means she can go on holiday with his husband early next summer.

“Ashley is gutted that England didn’t qualify so it’s not very good at home for me at the moment,” Cheryl said. “But I just tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early. The best thing is that me and Ashley can go on holiday next summer.”

England crashed out to Croatia at Wembley on Wednesday night and failed to qualify for Euro 2008 final. Ashley Cole not play on theat game and just watched on from the substitute’s bench.

Fabio Capello The New England Manager ?

After The FA dumped boss Steve McClaren - and his assistant Terry Venables, many candidates added to The FA. Ex Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and ex Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello seems lead the way to take over McLaren position as the next England manager. However Terry Venables said that Fabio Capello ex-Real Madrid chief Capello is the best candidate for the job.

“Managing England has become harder than ever and you need someone used to these extraordinary pressures and I believe that Fabio Capello is the right person,” Venables said. “People like Capello have already experienced such pressure in their own country,” Venalbes added.

Fabio Capello said, “It would be a very interesting challenge for me and difficult challenges have always fascinated me”.

“I am sure all managers and coaches would welcome the chance of leading England particularly, most of all, to take on such a difficult challenge - given that England haven’t won a trophy for so many years,” Capello added.

Capello also said that he has offered to talk with the FA for the position.

Richard Hamilton and the Detroit Pistons needed their quick start to send the young Seattle SuperSonics to their worst start ever.

Hamilton scored 10 of his season-high 32 points during a torrid first quarter, and Detroit held off a late charge to beat Seattle 107-103 on Sunday night, dropping the Sonics to 0-7.

Hamilton capped his night with a 17-foot leaner with 45.9 seconds left to give Detroit a 103-99 lead, after the Pistons squandered a 23-point first half advantage.

Kurt Thomas pulled Seattle even at 99, knocking down a 15-footer with 2:32 left after drawing a charge against Chauncey Billups. Read more
